What to do, by season
You're twenty minutes from four ski mountains and five from the best cheeseburger in Pitkin County. Here's how we'd spend a week — ask and we'll make the calls.

Four mountains, one pass
Aspen Mountain for the steeps and the après. Highlands for the Bowl. Snowmass for everyone at once. Buttermilk for first days and the X Games. We keep a wax kit in the gear room.
Aspen Mountain 20 min · Highlands 25 min · Snowmass 25 min · Buttermilk 18 min
Gold Medal water
The Roaring Fork runs a few minutes below the house and fishes well from the runoff's end through October. Guides we trust will meet you at the put-in; or walk the pond with a rod before breakfast.
Hiking
Maroon Bells before the crowds, the Rio Grande Trail down the road, Hunter Creek when it's hot. Gold aspens peak the last week of September.
Woody Creek Tavern
Five minutes down the road. Order the burger and a margarita, sit outside, don't check your phone. Hunter Thompson's table is wherever you're sitting.
Aspen dining & music
The Aspen Music Festival all summer, Belly Up most nights, Jazz Aspen over Labor Day. We'll tell you where we actually eat.
A local guide comes with the keys.
